The Astar DVX-6881 Divx DVD Player showed up late afternoon yesterday. I hooked it up to one of the monitors at home and tried it out with a DVDr of 26 episodes of a full fansubbed series. And it worked. Really well.
The Astar takes a few minutes to build a directory of the files it can read from any given disk you load into it. If you put in a standard DVD it'll load quickly, but DVD recordables and CDs take alittle while to load and sort.
And the best part is I paid maybe $10 more then the Cyberhome 300's that I bought for Ed and Michael.
Very nice, and worth it...
