The Devil's Rain!

Saturday night me and Ed and Josh and Michael went out for supper and Michael mentioned that he wanted to find a copy of THE DEVIL'S RAIN! Sunday morning I find this in the racks at the used video store.

So we ended up watching it last night. And It's as bad as I remember it. Tin eared dialogue, copious amounts of travel padding, "suspenceful" pacing slows the film to a crawl, and more. Much, much more. Red shift flashback to the first satanic Thanksgiving Day thanks to combination plot device and damsel in distress. Inexplicable Van Hellsing impersonation by Eddie Albert who looks as if he stumbled in from GREEN ACRES. Tom Skerret can't save this bumbling mess, but he trys. Shatner emotes, Ida Lupino looks confused, and Ernest Borgnine chews the scenery for all it's worth. The best way to watch THE DEVIL'S RAIN is with a few drinks and a few friends to shout at the devil...Posted by Hello

Somebody actually put this on DVD! Cover design is crap, but I'm guessing they didn't have the rights to that cool painting they put on the VHS tape...
