Let's try this out... 10:35 AM
One of the few good things about modern times: If you die horribly on television, you will not have died in vain. You will have entertained us.

What the heck do I do now? 10:00 AM
Crap.
Can't think of anything for the A-Kon flier.
Really.
I'm all lost on this one.
Crap.
Can't get a hold of Katie. She lost her phone in Chicago. Need to get those DVDs from her ASAP.
Really ASAP.
Crap.
Wish I coulda went to Chicago. Wish I knew what I was doing.
Crap.
Don't wanna do another Saul Bass style poster. Wanna do something else. But I can't think of a thing. So I'll do what I always do. I'll just drop some words on a blank page and move them around until they look good. And maybe I'll think of something or maybe I won't and have to settle for what I have.

Video Flier 10:28 AM
Brain storming on the Fanime flier, passing ideas around and trying to make something good enough. Well, maybe not good enough for me, but good enough.
On the up side I don't have to worry about making fliers for this weekend's Anime North or Animazement shows. And I really ought to get to work on the A-KonHELL flier this week, too. Not that I really need to worry too much about OtakuHELL, somebody will show up even if I don't make a flier.

Losted 8:37 AM
I came home from work on Friday night to find my laptop had crapped out. Turned it on and it would start to boot up and then it'd go to the "Your computer isn't going to startup" screen and countdown and try booting up again. I tried to use a boot CD but discovered that I couldn't even read the hard drive. I stayed up until 3am trying to get the damn thing to work.
Luckily I'd been able to finish all the animation for Gavv before the laptop shat itself. But there were somethings on the laptop that I'd hoped to recover, like the finished pages for the Hell Nurse Katie book. In the end I had to give up and dig out the restore discs.
I spent most of Saturday restoring to factory settings and loading all the critical apps I used on the laptop. Then I spent a good chunk of Sunday downloading all the Windows updates and Service Pack 2 because I couldn't run some apps without installing Service Pack 2. I couldn't find my Plextor disc or my Pinnacle Studio disc putting all my VHS ripping on hold for the time being. But I still had my Nero6 box on hand so I could get back to rendering DVDs for A-Kon HELL(s).
They say an important part of Comedy is timing. Same thing applies to Tragedy.

HELL Flier for one show 1:08 PM
I thought I had it, but I can't find the scan I made of Afro Speed Racer. Guess I'll need to find the art and scan it again. Go Speed, Go!

Hell if I know 12:42 PM
For the last few weeks I've been ripping VHS and building DVDs for HELL. I think I'd build a couple compilation discs like I did for Oni, but this time actually burn them to DVD instead of trying to run from laptop/hard drive.
Well, maybe I could do the laptop thing. I dunno. I'd like to find that video switcher program again. What was it called?

Benny Lava - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 10:27 AM
Benny Lava - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "Benny Lava is an Internet meme that was started when the video for Prabhu Deva Sundaram's song, 'Kalluri Vaanil', was uploaded to YouTube by mondegreen director 'Buffalax.' The video was edited to include subtitles of the written English approximation of the video's original language's sound. In this case, he 'translated' the '-dha nilaavo' into 'Benny Lava'."
