Saving Sgt. Tibbs

Tibbs got lost today and luckily Ms. Echo found him on the other side of the fence. He was pretty scared, but we got someone at Don Davis to unlock the fence and we coaxed him under the fence and back to the office. Tibbs lost his collar in the process, but he seems otherwise unhurt and back to his old self...

KORG KAOSS PAD entrancer Audio/Video Processor

But it's more of a Video Effects box then a Switcher/Mixer Posted by Hello

Video Switcher/Mixer HELL

Looks like the Korg Krossfour only lets you mix videos, but not the audio half of the video. Why is it so hard to find such a simple tool? I look for Video Switchers and find those multitap media switchboxes, which is sorta what I'm looking for, but there's no monitor channel or a way to change from video to video except by pushing a button. AUGH!

Must do more research...

GODZILLA: TOKYO S.O.S.

At one point in GODZILLA: TOKYO S.O.S. there's a scene on the japanese shoreline with a mocked up kaiju corpse that looks like a cross between the Gamera of the 90s and Angilus from DESTROY ALL MONSTERS. Scientists in white lab coats are exploring it's dead gaping fanged mouth while Techs in G-section flight/jumpsuits clamber over the sholders and back of the monster like extreme sport rock climbers. The JSDF rings the beach with those cool masar cannons and jeeps and keep the crowd controled with their nice white gloves. The camera lingers on the huge cavernous gouged wounds in the sides of the monster's neck. We're informed that the kaiji forensics finger Godzilla as the perp. But I'm wondering how you dissect a giant monster. I'm reminded about that town that tried to dispose of a whale carcass by blowing it up with TNT. Or maybe the JSDF will make Kaiju fillets and have a huge BBQ for everybody. (Free balloons for the kids!) Or maybe they'll turn it into a huge mechanized cyborg to fight Godzilla, just like they did with the bones from the Godzilla of 1954!

That's right, they built Mecha Godzilla over the bones of the Original Godzilla for an even more disturbing metaphor!

Don't worry because the Fairy Twins show up with Mothra to set everybody's moral compass straight. They go to tell Doctor Shinichi Chujo that the bones of Godzilla (1954) must be returned to their watery grave. Amazingly enough Doctor Shinichi Chujo is played by the same actor who played Doctor Shinichi Chujo in MOTHRA (1961, and they actually include a clip in Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. of the young Chujo meeting the original Fairy Twins) making this film a sequel to at least 5 or 6 films from the last century.

But, hold on a second! One of Dr. Chujo's grandkids is a Mecha Godzilla Tech-mech and he want's to know who will protect Japan from Godzilla if they toss Mecha Godzilla in the Japan Trench?

Mothra, of course.

So Dr. Chujo goes to the Japanese Primier and proposes the Infant Island Godzilla bones for Mothra exchange. It must be an election year because the Primier doesn't wanna toss out a Superfund site they they've just spent billions of yen to fix from it's last go-round with Godzilla. (That whould be Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla in 2002) Is this metaphor stretched far enough for ya?

While the adults fight about what to do the big G comes ashore and heads straight for Mecha Godzilla, throwing down for a rematch. Fed up with the adults and politics Dr. Chujo's youngest grandson has seen the final reel of MOTHRA and finds out that Mothra will show up where ever you put that radiating cross symbol. So, he goes and builds a huge radiating cross symbol outta schooldesks in the school yard, sending out the titular S.O.S. of the title and proving that kids have more sense then adults in Kaiju movies ONCE AGAIN!

Mothra shows up, Mecha Godzilla is sent in, it's a Kaiju menage a trois! Thanks to a ghost in the machine everything is tied up in the end. Or is it?

After the credits we see a Oxygen Destroyer like container labled "Godzilla DNA 1954."

I hope it's as fun as this ride was...

Bubblin' and Troublin'

It seems my lack of experiance with PostNuke is tripping me up. I've got the Bittorrent module in place, but I need to edit it. I created a torrent file of the bubbles.mov but I can't seem to get the torrent file to work, which seems to suggest that I screwed something up somewhere. At least I haven't crashed the site...not yet.

Cheap Disposable PostNuke :: AnimeHELL Bittorrent?
I tried to figure out PHP and hosting a bittorrent here, but I'm still climbing the learning curve on this. So, I googled a half dozen tutorials and realised I was still not technically deft enough to make it work. Then I remembered that we had a PostNuke page installed on the Cheap Disposable Website...

Searching through the PostNuke modules I found what looks like a solution, something called dp-bittorrent. If I can make it work, I think It will allow me to host AnimeHELL bittorrents from the PostNuke page. Now all I need is a file to torrent. Stay tuned....
